Easy
Traveller is an in-car navigation system which provides much of
the convenience of a GPS system but at a fraction of the cost!
The plug-in card uses AA mapping information and contains over 60,000
places, towns and cities all over the U.K. Before setting off, just
enter your destination or the first 4 characters of the post code and,
within seconds, Easy Traveller will calculate the best route to
get you to within a few hundred yards of your destination.
Useful features include the ability to plan routes which avoid low
bridges, motorways or roads which are not suitable for cars towing
caravans. Easy Traveller will also calculate journey times,
fuel consumption and distance travelled.
There’s no complicated connection to the vehicle; in fact Easy
Traveller can be carried in a pocket, making it ideal for people
who change vehicles frequently. It runs on 4 x “AA” batteries (not
included) or on 12 volts from a lighter socket if the in-vehicle
adaptor kit is being used. The L.C.D. display has an integral back
light for easier viewing and contrast control.
A card for use in France is also available and maps of Greater London,
other U.K. cities and more European countries are also being planned.
